The Importance of Communication Skills for Engineers

"Employers identify communication as one of the basic competencies every graduate should have, asserting that the ability to communicate is valuable for obtaining employment and maintaining successful job performance."

The ability to communicate well allows us to carry the intended message across to our peers and superiors so that there is no misunderstanding, therefore reducing unnecessary conflict among people. The lack of ambiguity when speaking also helps employers understand us better during interviews, thus allowing us a better chance at obtaining employment.
